Sue Braunstein\nElmira, NY\n\nAge 73, passed away unexpectedly on December 2nd, 2023. Born October 25th, 1950 in Binghamton, NY to Bernard and Beverly Braunstein. She was raised in Elmira where she spent most of her time volunteering and lending a helping hand- she did her best to give back to the community in any way she could.\n\nSue lived life on her own terms and was always unapologetically herself. Her version of life didn’t always align with most other’s realities, but whether she was your kind of person or not- she simply was unique. You could always find her on the go whether it was traveling, beaching in Florida, crafting, hitting the bingo hot spots or simply popping up wherever the wind took her.\n\nSue is predeceased by her mother and father Beverly and Bernard Braunstein. She is survived by her daughter Brittany Braunstein, her brother Edwin (Carol) Braunstein, nieces Beverly (Kalen&Kato) Keathley, Olivia and Isabelle Braunstein and many friends who felt like family.\n\nAn intimate Funeral Service will be held for her family only. She will be laid to rest at the Franklin Street Jewish Cemetery, Elmira, NY. Her daughter appreciates everyone who loved her mother and wants to pay their respects; she plans to have a celebration of life at the traditional Jewish gravestone unveiling next year. In lieu of donations- Brittany’s only request is to simply enjoy some quality time with your loved ones in honor of Sue. In the end nothing else matters as time is the only thing you can never have enough of and never get back so you might as well enjoy it while you have it.
