HOFFMAN SIDNEY Age 85, of Elmira, NY, died on Friday, September 11, 2015 with his loving wife & daughter by his side. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD IN FRANKLIN STREET CEMETERY ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, @ 1:00PM. RABBI OREN STEINITZ OFFICIATING. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to Congregation Kol Ami 1008 W. Water St Elmira, NY 14905. Sidney is survived by his wife, Carole; daughter & son-in-law, Amy & Michael Trokenheim of West Windsor, NJ; son, Daniel Hoffman of Westport, Conn; sister, Dorothy Vogel of NYC; four grandchildren, Rachel & Ben Trokenheim, Hilary & David Hoffman. Sidney was a United States Army Veteran. He was the owner of S.S. Hoffman Paper Goods & Novelty Store in Elmira & later in life he became a real estate appraiser. Sidney was a lifelong member of Congregation Kol Ami, formerly known as Shomray Hadath.
