Barton, Peter W. Age 62 passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017. Peter was born in Elmira, on October 30, 1954 to the late Cornelia Jonker and Dr. Fred W. Barton. He is survived by his wife, Teri E. Wright; brother, Phillip J. Barton; son, Brett G. Barton; step daughter, Misty C. Wright; niece, Rebekah M. (Jacob) Savishinsky; nephew, Nathaniel A. (Helen) Barton: Carolyn S. Barton: Edward R. Askins and several great nieces and nephews. He had a Masters degree from Elmira College, owned Westside Pet Shop, was a Financial Advisor and Substitute Teacher. An advid Yankee fan, He loved politics, Lake Champlain, St. Maarten and magic. Pete had a humorous nature, gentle soul, kind heart and was loved by many and will be missed by all.
