DERITO, MARIANNE J.

Marianne Derito, daughter of the late Matthew & Julia (DeSocio) Derito passed away peacefully on December 9, 2016 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. She was predeceased in death by her brother, Anthony Derito; and sister-in-law, Leonie Derito. She is survived by brothers and sister-in-law, Nicholas (Pam) Derito and Joseph Derito of Elmira; nephew, Michael Derito; niece, Nicola Dugger; grand nieces, Brittney, Casey and Madison. Marianne graduated from E.F.A. class of 1958. She was a licensed beautician retiring from BOCES. She was a member of the I.A.V. Auxiliary and a long time volunteer of St. Joseph's Hospital. Marianne cherished time with her family & friends. She was devoted care taker of her father in his last years. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN SAINT MARY'S CHURCH 224 FRANKLIN ST ELMIRA, ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 13th AT 12:00 PM. REVEREND FATHER JOHN DESOCIO CELEBRANT. INTERMENT OF MARIANNE'S ASHES WILL FOLLOW IN SAINT PETER & PAUL'S CEMETERY, ELMIRA. The family would like to thank the entire staff of the 5th floor, and Dr. Corbalan at the Chemung County Nursing Facility for their compassionate care.
