Linda Fesh

The spark that kindled the fire of a beautiful life was suddenly snuffed out on June 1st, when Linda's light slowly dimmed and flickered out.

Like so many other women, she was a wonderful mother and loving wife, but with Linda, these waters of praise are much too shallow---not nearly deep enough to reflect her grit, her toughness against bad times, or her over-the-top jubilation in the celebration of the glories of life.

She was humbly proud that, one step after another, she first crept, then barged through life.  She rose from being an entry-level clerk at Chemung Canal Trust Company, eventually rising to become Vice President in Bank Operations.

Linda didn't hide her light under a basket, as she twice was President of Bank Administration Institute and also her Rotary Club.

A natural leader, she delighted in the success of others, especially the staff she trained, as they  advanced up the corporate ladder, using the skills Linda taught them.

Despite the huge advancement she contributed as a woman in Corporate America, her first talents were as a mother and a wife.

Lovingly remembering are her husband, Steve, daughter Desiree Collins, grandson Chase Stephen Collins, sisters Joan M. Guthrie and Anita Allis, many nieces, especially close being Lisa Wimmer, and close childhood friend, Linn Smith.

Family and friends are invited to Baker Family Funeral Home, 365 E. Franklin St. at Rt. 13, Horseheads, NY on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 11am for Linda's memorial service, Father Richard Farrell presiding.

In lieu of flowers, Linda's light will shine once more with your donation to your favorite charity in Linda's name.
