Harriett Ann Rathbone Obituary (1946 - 2017)

RATHBONE, HARRIETT ANN (MEYERS) Age 70 of Elmira, formerly of Horseheads, died on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Harriett was born in Elmira, NY on August 17, 1946 to the late George & Dorothy (Dimon) Meyers. She was a 1969 graduate of National College of Education Evanston, Illinois. Harriett taught 2nd grade at Diven Elementary School in Elmira for many years. She was a member of the Women's Jr. League and former member of Christ United Methodist Church, Elmira. Harriett was a resident at the Chemung County Nursing Facility (1998-2017) and her family would like to give a special "thank you" to the devoted nursing staff for their outstanding care and support. Harriett was predeceased by husband, John A. (Jake) Rathbone III; aunt, Marie Kast; and cousin, Daniel Dimon, Sr. She is survived by cousins, Lenore Dimon; Fredrick (Nita) Kast; 2nd cousins, Daniel (Susan) Dimon, Jr. with children, Sydney, Alexandra & Daniel III; Michael (Dawn) Dimon with children, Joshua, Jacob & Hannah.
