Alice L. (Adams) Thorn Obituary (1931 - 2017)

THORN, ALICE L. (ADAMS) Age 85 of Elmira, NY died on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Alice was born in Addison, NY on December 30, 1931 to the late Albert & Leona (Thompson) Adams. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Tange Marie & Timothy VonNeida of Elmira; sons, Albert Thorn of Horseheads, and Paul Thorn of California, Maryland; brothers, Clifford Adams, of Royal Palm Beach, Florida and Norman Adams of Horseheads. Alice was predeceased by her loving husband, Allie Thorn on May 25, 1990; brother, Lyle Adams; sister, Phyllis Mood. She retired from Southern Tier News Company with many years of service. Alice was an avid bowler and a fan of baseball especially the Elmira Pioneers and the New York Mets.
